Athletics

The Shark’s track and field team is continually growing. The state meet, held at the University of Minnesota, is one of the largest competitions for Special Olympics Minnesota, drawing athletes from all over the state for three days of festivities and competitions. Not only do our athletes compete, but  coaches and family members who are registered unified participants, also compete. The Sharks are very fortunate to have the indoor track at Hastings High School as their main training facility.
Each year we compete in the Area 12 meet, and those results are used to determine heats for the state meet. It is mandatory to compete at the area meet to be eligible for state competition.
